Zimmermann happy for former teammate

WASHINGTON — A day before facing the Nationals, Tigers right-hander Jordan Zimmermann said he was pleased to learn that former teammate Stephen Strasburg had signed a seven-year, $175 million contract with Washington.
Strasburg had a chance to become a free agent after this season, but he said the grass isn’t always greener on the other side for every player.
