Draymond Green has evolved into one of the most interesting personalities in the NBA, and perhaps all of sports — the vocal leader and emotional engine for one of the most compelling NBA teams in recent memory.

Green has agreed to give Marc J. Spears of ESPN’s The Undefeated an exclusive look into his life on and off the court, via a playoff diary that Green hopes will end with a second straight NBA championship for the Golden State Warriors.

Diary entry No. 9: May 10, 2016

With a 132-125 overtime victory Monday night in Portland, the Golden State Warriors took a 3-1 lead in the best of seven second-round series versus the Portland Trail Blazers. Green had 21 points, seven blocks, nine rebounds, five assists and four steals in 44 minutes. Warriors guard Stephen Curry, who was named the NBA’s Most Valuable Player on Tuesday, had 27 of his 40 points in the fourth quarter and overtime of his much-hyped return.

“Steph, from an MCL sprain and to have not played in two weeks — to be honest, he hasn’t really played in a month — and to be down 16 … under those circumstances, that puts his performance right up there with his best games. On the road, where they can tie it up 2-2, and we don’t want to prolong this series, that’s what it’s about. I put that right up there with anything he’s done.
