76ers: Embiid should be ready for start of ’16-17

Philadelphia 76ers coach Brett Brown raved about Joel Embiid on Tuesday in a radio interview. Appearing on SportsRadio 94 WIP’s Mike & Ike Show, Brown was asked directly if Embiid would be ready to play in the 2016-17 season opener.
“That is my belief,” Brown said. “Yeah, that is my strong belief.”
Embiid, the No. 3 overall pick in 2014, has yet to make his NBA debut. Foot surgeries have cost him what should have been the first two seasons of his career.
