Liam Smith to make defense against Radosevic

Liam Smith will make the second defense of his junior middleweight world title against Montenegro’s Predrag Radosevic on June 4 at the Echo Arena in Smith’s hometown of Liverpool, England, promoter Frank Warren announced on Tuesday.
“I’m looking forward to fighting back at home. I haven’t boxed in Liverpool since I won the world title and I can’t wait to put on a show for my home crowd,” Smith said. “There’s nobody better to fight in front of.”
Smith (22-0-1, 12 KOs), 27, one of the four fighting Smith brothers, including junior lightweight contender Stephen Smith, super middleweight contender Callum Smith and former super middleweight world title challenger Paul Smith, stopped John Thompson, of Newark, New Jersey, in the seventh round to win the vacant belt in October.
Smith made his first defense against Jimmy Kelly, winning by seventh-round knockout in December.
Radosevic (30-1, 11 KOs), 31, suffered his only loss in July 2013, a fourth-round knockout at middleweight to former four-time middleweight world titleholder Felix Sturm in a nontitle bout in Germany. Radosevic has won three fights since.
