ATP ROME: Nishikori overcomes Troicki, solid wins for Berdych and Kohlschreiber

6th seed Kei Nishikori was forced to dig deep against Viktor Troicki before scoring a 5-7 6-2 6-3 win, especially in the first set. The Serb has won the opening set with a late break in the last game but Nishikori responded well, breaking his rival twice in each of the next two sets to safely reach the third round.
