Liverpool Transfer News: Marco Reus and Mario Gotze Wanted, Latest Rumours

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will reportedly revive his German connections this summer in a bid to bring both Marco Reus and Mario Gotze to Anfield, and Adam Lallana may be sold in order to finance their transfers.
The Sun’s Mike McGrath surmised Lallana’s departure could pave the way for Reus or Gotze to arrive on Merseyside, and the Daily Star’s Alex Harris recently reported the latter Germany international is set to leave Bayern Munich.
Klopp is familiar with both players following their time together at the Westfalenstadion, and while Dortmund and Bayern have been consistent Bundesliga title contenders of late, the Premier League may appeal as a summer destination.
Speculation linking Liverpool with Germany’s top talents inevitably rose after Klopp’s October arrival at Anfield, and the manager told broadcaster Sport1 Merseyside is now “more interesting” to Bundesliga stars (h/t ESPN FC’s Stephan Uersfeld):
I don’t believe anybody needs to fear us, but it’s a fact that through me Liverpool have become more interesting for German players. If our interest matches with that of the player, we won’t back away from signing him just because he’s German — that would be nonsense — but we are not limited to the Bundesliga.
