Curry comes off bench in Game 4 vs. Blazers

PORTLAND, Ore. — Golden State Warriors star point guard Stephen Curry has returned after missing three games with a sprained right knee.
Curry, the expected 2015-16 NBA MVP with an announcement coming as early as Tuesday, entered with 5:58 remaining in the first quarter of Monday night’s Game 4 against the Portland Trail Blazers and Golden State down 16-2.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr told reporters before Monday’s Game 4 that Curry would be active as long as everything went OK during pregame warmups. Moments later, Curry did not appear to be hampered by the sprain he suffered in Game 4 of the first-round series against Houston.
The Warriors announced his availability a short time later but he was not listed among the starters for the game.
“He’s not really under a minutes restriction from (the) training staff,” Kerr said. “It’s more what he can handle conditioning-wise.”
