Sunday Briefing: Daniel Strelitz Wins PokerStars Sunday Grand

The 2016 Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP) kicked off on Sunday with the first handful of 55 scheduled events, and while those opening events are still in play, due to being two-day tournaments, there were still some massive scores enjoyed by online poker tournament players over the course of Sunday.

One of the largest scores of the weekend is now in the PokerStars account of Daniel “deoxyribo” Strelitz, who topped a field of 555 in the $1,050 Sunday Grind to claim the $104,340 first-place prize. Strelitz defeated Spain’s Oscar “MendaLerenda” Serradell heads-up for the title, with the Spaniard banking the $76,035 runner-up prize.

Earlier in the day, Fedor “CrownUpGuy” Holz won the $215 Bounty Builder for $19,042.77, and Germany’s “The_Stro_Sho” helping themselves to their largest-ever online cash by winning the Big $109 for a $35,568.31 first-place prize.
