How Florida State’s RB situation shapes up after Mario Pender dismissal

Florida State dismissed running back Mario Pender on Saturday, which on the field leaves the Seminoles with one fewer option to relieve Dalvin Cook.
Cook not only highlights but is the centerpiece of Florida State’s backfield (and offense in general), but behind the junior are several talented yet relatively unproven options. Pender, a redshirt senior with 71 career rushes, was one of them.

Before Pender was arrested and charged with domestic battery by strangulation, his role on the 2016 team was unclear.
