Adelle Tracey and CJ Ujah help lay new Olympic Stadium track

Having already experienced some of their own special moments in London’s former Olympic Stadium so far, Adelle Tracey and CJ Ujah helped to pave the way for many more on Monday as they laid the first sections of the new Mondo track.
British indoor 800m champion Tracey was one of seven young athletes chosen to light the London Olympic cauldron four years ago, while British 100m champion Ujah went sub-10 seconds for the second time in the Stadium last year. They both returned to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to help put down the new track on which Great Newham London Run participants will be among the first to run later this summer.
The two athletes were joined by the Mayor of Newham, Sir Robin Wales, plus chairman of event organiser The Great Run Company Brendan Foster and the Sharpe family from Plaistow in Newham to mark the milestone.
