After John Terry was sent off in what might be his last game for Chelsea, we take a look at the numbers behind his Premier League career.

The Chelsea captain was shown his second red card of the season in Saturday’s 3-2 defeat to Sunderland, meaning he is now facing a two-game suspension for Wednesday’s trip to Liverpool and the final game of the season at home to Leicester on Sunday.

Terry’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season, and Chelsea’s interim manager Guus Hiddink admitted the 35-year-old was devastated in the wake of the Sunderland game.

It would be a sad way for a club legend to bow out. Terry is Chelsea’s longest-serving player having made his Premier League debut a few weeks after his 18th birthday as a substitute in a 2-0 win over Southampton in December 1998.
