Stephen Curry Reportedly Will Win MVP Award for 2015-16 NBA Season

Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry supplemented an already historic season and is expected to win his second NBA Most Valuable Player Award, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.com. 

“Sources told ESPN.com that the widely anticipated honor for Curry is scheduled to be made in the next few days, with the Warriors poised to return to Oakland, California, on Tuesday after Monday night’s Game 4 in Portland,” reported Stein.

Curry will likely dominate the voting after the Warriors won 73 games, setting a single-season record. 

Saying Curry was the best player in the league this year would be an understatement. According to Basketball-Reference.com’s play index, his 31.5 PER was the eighth-highest all time, and he’s the ninth player to enter the elusive 50-40-90 club, connecting on 50.4 percent of his field-goal attempts, 45.4 percent of his three-point attempts and 90.8 percent of his free throws.
