Steve Austin Details Shoulder Injury And Surgery, Rusev Angle Making It A Lot Worse, Recovery

On episode 322 of The Steve Austin Show, ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin talked about his recent shoulder injury, the surgery to repair his damaged arm, and the daunting rehabilitation process.
Austin injured his right shoulder while training in preparation for his WrestleMania 32 appearance. ‘The Bionic Redneck’ was diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff, among other injuries.
“I f–ked up my shoulder trying to train too heavy and it was a bunch of wear and tear and some bulls–t. [I] end up tearing the infraspinatus and the supraspinatus, so the preoperative diagnosis when I went in to see Dr. Neal ElAttrache was rotator cuff tear, bicep tendinosis and instability, AC joint arthrosis, and degenerative labral tear. Okay? Turns out after all the MRIs, I had a rotator cuff tear, bicep tendinosis and instability, AC joint arthrosis, [and] degenerative labral tear.”
On April 20, 2016, Austin underwent approximately two-and-a-half hours of surgery to repair his shoulder region.
