KCCA beat rivals Villa to go five points clear

KCCA have opened a five point gap at the summit of the Uganda Premier League with two games to go, after beating archrivals, SC Villa 1-0 in a Week 28 clash on Friday at the Nakivubo Stadium, Kampala.
Nigerian import Sulaiman Akinyemi came off the bench to score the decider, and take KCCA’s tally to 55 points, five richer than Vipers, who were held to a barren draw away to mid-table outfit, JMC Hippos in Jinja.
Villa, whose last league triumph was 12 years ago must wait for at least next year, to add to their trophy haul with 19 points separating them and the leaders.
