Grosjean: Haas beyond expectations

Romain Grosjean acknowledges that Haas’ incredible start to their debut campaign as far outweighed any expectations the team had.
Heading into round five of the championship, Grosjean is seventh in the Drivers’ Championship having amassed 22 points.
Such has been the Frenchman and Haas’ form that he has only finished one grand prix, China, outside the points.
Asked if he believed when he first tested the VF-16 in Spain back in February that P7 would have been possible, he said: “Not really, to be fair.
“I don’t like to set myself an objective, in terms of position. If I thought about where we could be, what we can do, it’s definitely better than anyone was expecting, and certainly myself.
