Norwich CEO quits after U-turn

David McNally has resigned as Norwich chief executive with the club on the brink of relegation from the Premier League.
The Canaries need to win their last two matches and hope Sunderland slip up twice to avoid dropping into the Championship after they slipped to a damaging 1-0 defeat to Manchester United on Saturday afternoon.
McNally appeared to have resigned on Saturday night after replying to a post by another Twitter user by writing: “That’s okay and I understand. I’ve resigned tonight and I hope that the club can now progress.”
