Kevin Love stars as Cavs ride sweep of Hawks to East finals

ATLANTA –- There was way too much love on Mother’s Day for the Atlanta Hawks.

Kevin Love was hot for three quarters, sinking eight 3-pointers, and then LeBron James finished off a second straight sweep of the Hawks with two baskets in the final 1:16 to lift Cleveland to a 100-99 win in Game 4.

Love finished with 27 points and 13 rebounds while James nearly had a triple-double with 21 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists to improve to 12-0 lifetime in the postseason against Atlanta.

Kyrie Irving added 21 points and 8 assists as the Cavaliers return to the Eastern Conference finals for a second straight year with a 4-0 win over Atlanta. The Cavs now await the winner of the Toronto-Miami series.

Dennis Schroder led the Hawks with 21 points. But with a chance to give the Hawks the lead at the end, he got caught in the paint and James got his hand on the ball to force a jump ball with 2.8 seconds left. The Hawks could not secure the ball before the clock expired.
