Tigers call up Collins, send Farmer to Triple-A

DETROIT — Tigers manager Brad Ausmus hinted earlier in the weekend that the Tigers would likely make a roster move to add an outfielder for the upcoming road trip to Washington D.C. and Baltimore, and they did just that after Sunday’s 8-3 loss to the Rangers.
Right-handed reliever Buck Farmer was optioned to Triple-A Toledo, and outfielder Tyler Collins will rejoin the Tigers.
