Paul George Thanks Former Pacers Coach Frank Vogel in Instagram Post

Frank Vogel took over the head coaching job for the Indiana Pacers during Paul George’s rookie season. It is clear the two had a special relationship given the star player’s recent Instagram post:
Team president Larry Bird announced on Thursday that he did not renew Vogel’s contract for the 2016-17 season, which prompted George’s heartfelt message. Vogel assumed the coaching duties from Jim O’Brien during the 2010-11 campaign, which was George’s first year after the Pacers selected him with the 10th overall pick out of Fresno State.
Vogel finished with a 250-181 record for the Pacers (.580 winning percentage) and made the playoffs five times in six years. The one time he missed the postseason was in 2014-15, when George …
