— FOX Sports: UFC (@UFCONFOX) May 8, 2016 Andrei Arlovski’s chin cracked first.Alistair Overeem cut down the Belarusian with a jumping front kick to the chin, a clean left hook and follow-up ground-and-pound in the second round of their UFC Fight Night “Overeem vs. Arlovski” headliner on Sunday at Ahoy Rotterdam in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Overeem (41-14, 6-3 UFC) closed it out 72 seconds into round two. Arlovksi (25-12, 14-6 UFC) blitzed the Dutchman with punches early in the first round and backed off, as the two heavyweight settled into a measured pace. Overeem executed a trip takedown and chewed up the remaining time with ground-and-pound. Roughly a minute into round two, he delivered the front kick and followed with an immediate left hook that dropped Arlovski. Overeem pounced with right hands, leaving referee Marc Goddard no choice but to rescue “The Pit Bull.” Afterward, Overeem set his sights on the UFC heavyweight championship and the winner of the forthcoming matchup between current titleholder Fabricio Werdum and No. 1 contender Stipe Miocic.
