Alistair Overeem cemented his claim for a heavyweight title shot with a second round stoppage over former champion Andrei Arlovski. The Dutchman earned the win in front of his fellow countrymen in Rotterdam, then went on to proclaim that he would challenge for the title in New York and then defend it the following year in Holland.
