On Saturday, the Cardinals beat the Pirates for the first time in five tries this season, pulling out a 6-4 victory on Matt Carpenter’s walk-off home run in the ninth inning.

In today’s finale at Busch Stadium, St. Louis tries to take the series, move to two games over .500 and pass Pittsburgh for second place in the National League Central. While the Bucs will send Gerrit Cole to the hill, the Cardinals can counter with Michael Wacha, who has been riding a hot streak of late.

Those two certainly aren’t the only intriguing pitchers who will take the ball during a full 15-game slate available on MLB.TV. The Phillies’ Aaron Nola enters his start against the Marlins with a 20-inning scoreless streak, the Cubs’ Jake Arrieta will look to continue his dominant run when he faces the Nationals, and Red Sox knuckleballer Steven Wright will try to improve to 6-for-6 in quality starts this season during his outing in the Bronx.

Even more impressive is that all three outings came on the road, where Nola also will be pitching today. In fact, going back to last season, he has allowed no more than one run in six consecutive road starts.
