Scioscia: Angels must ‘get creative’ to fill pitching void

ANAHEIM — With Angels starter Garrett Richards likely facing Tommy John surgery and out of the season, joining Andrew Heaney and C.J. Wilson on the disabled list, and while Tyler Skaggs and Matt Shoemaker work their way back in the Minors, the Angels are running out of options.
“We have to look internally and get creative to give ourselves opportunities to win games, that’s what we’re going to focus on,” Angels manager Mike Scioscia said.
