NEW YORK — The Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the New York Islanders 2-1 in overtime to take a 3-1 lead in this Eastern Conference second-round series. Game 5 will be played Sunday at 3 p.m. ET at Amalie Arena in Tampa.

How it happened: Lightning defenseman Jason Garrison scored at 1:34 of OT on a slap shot from the point. Teammate Nikita Kucherov continues to be a postseason star for the Lightning. For the second consecutive game, his goal forced overtime. Similar to Game 3, the Islanders came out buzzing and gained a 1-0 lead on Kyle Okposo’s power-play goal with 4:20 left in the first period.
