Spurs reportedly have ‘fantasies’ of signing KD

Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder are currently engaged in a second-round series against the San Antonio Spurs. And while they may be opponents right now, come this summer, Durant may reportedly be teaming up with the Spurs.
According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, the Spurs have been fantasizing about signing Durant when he becomes a free agent in the summer. Stein also reports that there is a strong theory that if the Thunder can’t get out of the second round, Durant will more than likely be leaving Oklahoma City. However, if the Thunder can advance to the Western Conference Finals, Durant will likely re-sign but will only be for a short two-year deal.

As well as Durant and his close-knit tandem of representatives, Rich Kleiman and Charlie Bell, have done in terms of keeping their intentions mysterious, there is a working assumption among KD’s would-be suitors that a second-round Thunder exit essentially cinches the notion that he’ll indeed walk away and look for the best external situation that positions him to win that elusive first championship.
