Slade to switch jobs at Cardiff

Russell Slade will leave his post as Cardiff manager this summer to take up a new role as the club’s Head of Football.
City’s failure to make the Championship play-offs as prompted a restructuring of the first-team coaching staff, and Slade will no longer be responsible for the day-to-day running of the team.
A club statement did not make it clear if a direct replacement for Slade is being sought, or go into further details about the new set-up, but said “appointing Russell in this new position will ensure that all football decisions remain in trusted and experienced hands.”
