Andy Murray produced a brutally efficient performance to see off Tomas Berdych 6-3, 6-2 in the quarter-finals of the 2016 Madrid Open and book himself a spot in the final four on Friday.

The Scot got his nose in front early in the opening set and never allowed Berdych back in as he saw out victory in 76 minutes.

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic takes on Milos Raonic later on Friday, while Rafael Nadal meets Joao Sousa and Kei Nishikori faces Nick Kyrgios in the other two quarter-finals.
