Norwich vs. Manchester United: Louis Van Gaal’s Key Pre-Match Presser Quotes
- Updated: May 5, 2016
Manchester United “have to take revenge” on Norwich City when the two sides meet this Saturday, according to manager Louis van Gaal, who said his side must win their last three games of the Premier League campaign.
The Red Devils travel to Carrow Road on Saturday with a record of six wins from 17 away trips this league season, and Van Gaal is only too aware that record must improve, per Simon Bajkowski and Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News:
We have to win three games in a row, two away. We don’t win too many away games.
We are second best in home wins after Leicester and 10th in away matches.
When we want to be a champion, we have to improve in the away matches, and win first away against Norwich and then West Ham United.
Alarmingly, four of United’s seven away losses in the league this term have come against teams currently in the bottom eight, and Norwich will be hoping to add another dampener to Van Gaal’s second season at their helm.
The Canaries are one of just two Premier League teams to defeat the Red Devils on home soil this term—Southampton being the other—and Van Gaal is seeking redemption for the 2-1 loss his side suffered in December:
