Mikhail Zdanovskiy Wins WPTDeepStacks Jacksonville Main Event; Michael Mizrachi 7th

On Monday, Mikhail Zdanovskiy emerged victorious atop a 386-entry field to win the WPTDeepStacks Jacksonville $1,500 Main Event. Zdanovskiy earned a career-best six-figure payday of $106,780 and beat out a final table that included Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi, Timothy “TK” Miles, David Tuthill, and others.
Final Table Results
The top 49 places made the money in the event, and it was Kristen Kober falling short of a cash in 50th place. According to event reports, Brent Roberts opened with a raise from early position before Kober moved all in for a tiny bit more out of the big blind. Roberts made the cheap call with the and was up against the for Kober. The run out gave Roberts a straight and the win, busting Kober out on the bubble.
Not only did the work of Roberts put everyone in the money, but it moved Roberts into first place in the WPTDeepStacks Player of the Year race. Entering the event, Roberts was tied for first with Salomon Ponte and the cash pushed him one step ahead. From there, Roberts went on to take 21st place for $5,151.
