Dundee United are hoping to appoint a new boss within two to three weeks, according to Sky sources.
Assistant head coach Gordon Young has been handed the caretaker managerial position, assisted by former midfielder Dave Bowman, following the departure of Mixu Paatelainen on Wednesday.
The shake-up in management happened within 48 hours of United’s relegation to the Championship following their defeat to Dundee at Dens Park on Monday.
