Madison Keys should have the weapons to slide along to the Madrid Finals

Madison Keys, a little girl growing up in Rock Island, Illinois like tennis from the moment her Mom and Dad introduced the sport to her and her three sisters. She’d never dreamed of traveling to Madrid, Spain, being in the Madrid Open and winning rounds in good style. This is just where Madison is now, but it always wasn’t like that at the beginning of the season when she was overburden with not so much of losing but with injuries. First, it was an elbow injury. She was casually walking down a slippery rainy street in Florida when she took a spill on her elbow. Then it was her left abductor that was either pulled or torn and sent her crying in agony from the pain and tears for having the injury interfere with her falling to China’s Shuai Zhang at the Australian Open’s 4th round. She was sent hobbling off the court in physical and emotional pain. The Apia International in Sydney wasn’t much better as she withdrew with a left forearm injury she had gotten off season.
