Gomez still out of lineup, hopes to avoid DL

OAKLAND — Astros outfielder Carlos Gomez was out of the lineup again Sunday and will miss Monday’s home series opener against the Minnesota Twins with a sore left rib cage. Gomez suffered the injury while diving for a ball in left-center during Friday night’s game against the Athletics.
Gomez will be reevaluated Monday morning in Houston. X-rays taken in Oakland …
