WTA MADRID- Top seed Agnieszka Radwanska and second seed Angelique Kerber knocked out

Tennis- Top seed Agnieszka Radwanska and second seed Angelique Kerber have been knocked out of the Mutua Madrid Open WTA Tournament. Third seed Garbine Muguruza and defending champion Petra Kvitova advanced into the second round.
Radwanska led Cibulkova 7-3 in head-to-head record but this time former World No.10 was in better form as she broke back twice in the first set and then broke Radwanska in the 10th game to take the first set 6-4. Cibulkova had a chance to close out in the match in second set as she served at 5-3, but Radwanska bounced back and won the set in tie-break. Radwanska raced to a 2-0 lead in the third set but Cibulkova won six out of last seven games to go through to the second round.Australian Open champion Angelique Kerber had not dropped a set against BarboraStrycova in 4 meetings between them and she had won 6-1, 6-1 when they met in Miami few months back. But this time Czech player was in superb form as she won 6-4, 6-2. She will face USA’s Madison Keys who came back from one set down to beat her compatriot Alison Riske 1-6 …
