Dale Earnhardt Jr. had his second consecutive early exit in a restrictor-plate race this season following two incidents in Sunday’s GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway.

After dominating restrictor-plate tracks last season with chassis No. 872, known as “Amelia,” things have not gone well for Earnhardt Jr. and the car in points paying races this year.
