Guidolin pleased with Swansea safety

Francesco Guidolin said he was happy to help Swansea reach Premier League safety after Sunday’s 3-1 victory at home to Liverpool and he wants to remain as boss for next season.
Andre Ayew scored twice as the Swans comfortably saw off a much-changed Reds side, with Jack Cork adding to the tally with a fantastic curler.
Christian Benteke netted for Liverpool, but they ended the game with 10 men after Brad Smith was sent off. The result saw the south Wales side move up to 13th with 43 points.
Guidolin – who was hired in January following the departure of Garry Monk with the aim of steering Swansea to safety – was happy to see out the job.
