Vikes pick straight-from-Europe WR Boehringer

German-born wide receiver Moritz Boehringer has found a new home. He gets to play for the team he “grew up” rooting for, the Minnesota Vikings.
The Vikings nabbed Boehringer, the first international player ever drafted without playing college football, with the No. 180 overall pick.
What’s amazing about his life-long love of the Vikings is he actually never saw football until he was 17 years old. That’s when Boehringer stumbled upon a YouTube video of Vikings running back Adrian Peterson running the football. He fell in love with the sport, player and team.
