Sami Callihan Talks His Time In NXT, Learning From Legends, Starting Up His Own Promotion, More

Former NXT Superstar Sami Callihan turned a few heads earlier last year when he ended his lackluster run with the brand by asking for his WWE release. Since being granted his walking papers, he’s gained a new lease on life.
“I pride myself on being one of the most booked wrestlers in the world,” Callihan told 1Wrestling’s Bill Apter.
Callihan said that he learned a lot while in NXT, and singled out ‘The American Dream’ Dusty Rhodes as one of his favorite teachers. He also mentioned that the split between himself and WWE was amicable.
