Bengals halt Billings’ draft slide in fourth round

With the 122nd pick in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals select Baylor defensive lineman Andrew Billings.
CBSSports.com’s Draft Grade: “A very strong interior two-down DT who will earn playing time immediately for the Bengals. A+”
Billings is part of a deep crop of defensive tackles in this draft, though he got lost shuffle during the first two days of the draft. Considered a second-round pick by many draft pundits, Billings instead lasted until the end of the fourth, again proving that this process it’s that it’s more art than science. But hey, Geno Atkins was a fourth-round pick back in 2010, and when he’s healthy, he’s unbelievably disruptive. Who knows, three years from now we could all be talking about how Billings slipped far.
