Wigan have secured their return to the Sky Bet Championship at the first attempt after they defeated relegation-threatened Blackpool 4-0 at Bloomfield Road.
The Latics went into the Saturday lunchtime game in League 1 knowing a point would be enough to see them promoted and the match remained goalless for the opening hour.
