Kraft rips Brady’s ‘extremely unfair’ suspension

On the same day the Patriots used a third-round pick on a young quarterback, team owner Robert Kraft reiterated his support for one of the best quarterbacks in league history.
If you missed the latest chapter in the NFL reality show that is Deflategate, Tom Brady, an 11-time Pro Bowler and a first-ballot Hall of Famer, will miss the first four games of the 2016 season for his tangential role in the deflating of footballs. And as was the case when NFL commissioner Roger Goodell first invoked the punishment last offseason (before it was overturned by a federal judge and reinstated by an appeals court), Kraft has Brady’s back.
“He’s a young man who is an exceptional person with the highest level of integrity,” Kraft said, via the team’s official website. “I feel so privileged to have Tom in my life and I truly view him as a son.
