Finally Panthers fans can rest easy, because the team has drafted a cornerback.
Pretty much everyone following the Panthers was concerned after Dave Gettleman rescinded Josh Norman’s franchise tag and watched the Pro Bowl corner head to the Redskins on a major free-agent contract.
Their pick was a bit of a surprise, primarily because James Bradberry, the corner they selected, comes from Samford. Which is kind of funny because they replaced a small-school corner with another small-school corner.
CBS Sports Pete Prisco sees more similarities with Norman as well, and gives the pick a B-.
