Columbus Zoo names two clouded leopards after Taylor Decker

Taylor Decker saw penguins from Africa and cheetahs and leopards and lions. It was all part of his job at the Columbus Zoo, where he spent two summers interning as he learned how to work with and care for animals.
And on Friday, the zoo gave him a pretty big honor: naming two baby clouded leopards after their intern-turned-NFL draft pick.
The zoo named its two baby clouded leopards after Decker on Friday — the girl named “Taylor” and the boy “Decker” in honor of the 6-foot-7, 315-pound offensive tackle. This was first reported by the Detroit Free Press. The names were decided upon by assistants and the daughter of Suzi Rapp, the vice president of animal programs, who Decker interned with at the zoo.
Rapp said it is rare for the Zoo to name animals after people, at least not without large donations. They texted Decker about the naming after they made the decision and he responded, saying how …
