Pats fans put big dent in NFL Draft TV ratings

Television ratings for the NFL Draft took a small tumble this year and there seems to be one big reason for the fall: Patriots fans decided not to tune in.
Fans in New England had been planning to boycott the first round of the draft and it appears that the boycott worked. The Boston market did just a 1.5 rating during ESPN’s telecast of the first round.
That’s a huge drop from 2015, when the Boston-area did a 3.7 rating, according to ESPN.com.
Of course, Patriots fans had no reason to watch the first round, because New England didn’t have a first round pick. The NFL stripped the Patriots of their first-rounder as part of the punishment for Deflategate. The Patriots were also stripped of a 2017 fourth-round …
