Former UCLA linebacker Myles Jack might be the best player in the 2016 NFL Draft. The only problem is that teams are scared off by a knee injury that, by Jack’s own admission, could require microfracture surgery in the future.
It was enough of a concern for Jack to go undrafted in the first round, and with the second round looming, it’s unclear when he’ll hear his name called. But according to ESPN.com’s Darren Rovell, both Jack and former Notre Dame linebacker Jaylon Smith, who will miss the 2016 season after suffering a knee injury during a January Bowl game, could benefit from insurance policies they took out while still in college.
