Goodell: Tunsil slide helped make draft exciting

The photograph at the bottom of this post perfectly encapsulates just how bizarre Thursday night turned out to be — NFL commissioner Roger Goodell looks like he has no idea what to make of just-drafted left tackle Laremy Tunsil. Just a couple hours before, the former Ole Miss star found himself at the center of one of the weirdest draft-day controversies … well, ever.
Ten minutes before the start of the draft, someone — Tunsil says his Twitter account was hacked — posted a video showing Tunsil smoking marijuana through a gas mask. Tunsil later explained that the video was several years old, but the damage had been done. Previously thought to be a top-5 pick, he lasted until No. 13, though the Jets reportedly tried to trade up for him.
