Browns gain serious value from draft trades

The Cleveland Browns started the 2016 NFL Draft process with the No. 2 overall pick, which they were slotted into thanks to finishing the 2015 season tied for the worst overall record but having played a tougher schedule than the Tennessee Titans, who were awarded the No. 1 selection.
The Browns, of course, traded down from that slot prior to the draft, sending No. 2 and a 2017 fourth-round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles for No. 8 (which they’d acquired from the Miami Dolphins), No. 77, No. 100, a 2017 first-round pick and a 2018 second-round pick. On Thursday night, when the Browns came on the clock at No. 8, they traded down again. This time it was the Titans (who had traded down with the Rams from No. 1 to No. 15) moving up, sending Cleveland No. 15, No. 76, and a 2017 second-round pick in exchange for No. 8 and No. 176.
All in all, the Browns sent out No. 2, No. 176 and a 2017 fourth-rounder and received in return No. 15 (used on Baylor wideout Corey Coleman), No. 76, No. 77, No. 100, a 2017 first-round pick from Philadelphia, a 2017 second-round pick from Tennessee, and a 2018 …
