Purdue tennis duo earn All-Big Ten honours

For the first time since 2004, Purdue has a first-team All-Big Ten men’s tennis player. Not only did sophomore Gergely Madarasz become the first Boilermaker honored since Paul Rose in 2004, Purdue’s No.1 singles player also was a unanimous selection prior to the start of the Big Ten Tournament.
Benjamin Ugarte, who like Madarasz is in his first semester of collegiate competition, earned second-team honours. Madarasz is Purdue’s 13th first-team selection. The redshirt sophomore has an impressive 8-1 record in Big Ten play. At 19-3, he is Purdue’s …
