Cowboys use No. 4 pick on ‘bell-cow’ RB Elliott

IRVING, Texas — After a 4-12 finish in 2015, the Dallas Cowboys’ reward was picking Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott with the fourth overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft on Thursday.

Elliott will give the Cowboys the opportunity to recapture the formula that worked so well in 2014, when DeMarco Murray led the NFL in rushing with 1,845 yards.
