Carmelo Anthony Comments on Triangle Offense, Knicks’ Coaching Search, More

New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony is at a career crossroads with a rebuilding franchise, but the 31-year-old hopes to have input on the franchise’s future direction.
During an appearance Thursday on the Dan Patrick Show (via ESPN.com’s Ian Begley), Anthony said he “wanted to have input in the (Knicks’) coaching search.”
Begley added he “would’ve assumed” Knicks President Phil Jackson would have already been in contact with Anthony if the former All-Star was going to have any significant input on the next head coach.
Anthony told Patrick (via Begley) he hasn’t had any conversation with Jackson about which direction the Knicks are going with their head coach. He also said his “goal” was to retire with the Knicks.
