Josh Samman: It’s difficult to take sides, but McGregor & the UFC kind of owe each other

MMA’s story of the month is undoubtedly the battle between Conor McGregor and the UFC. McGregor was pulled from the UFC 200 main event vs. Nate Diaz, with UFC president Dana White citing McGregor’s refusal to fulfill all of his media obligations, including last Friday’s press conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. The UFC has already announced Daniel Cormier vs. Jon Jones 2 as the new main event, while the sport’s biggest pay-per-view attraction has been barred from getting back on the UFC’s biggest planned pay-per-view.
Plenty of UFC and non-UFC fighters have offered up their thoughts on this situation, including UFC middleweight veteran and Bloody Elbow contributor Josh Samman, who spoke to the Three Amigos Podcast earlier this week.
TAP: We’re seeing a bit of a standoff with Conor McGregor and the UFC. Several fighters have stated publicly-Rory MacDonald, Brandon Vera, Ben Askren, Ryan Jimmo, and several more I don’t have the names of handy at the moment-that they stand in solidarity with Conor.
